MMORPG News: Worlds Adrift MMO, New Upcoming MMORPG Project Nova, TERA: Godsfall

We’ll start off with what is potentially the most important news of last.. well, since Bless Online was announced to be coming to the West.
Nexon has announced that an English Closed Beta will begin next month for Maplestory 2, the sequel to the still alive and kicking side-scroller, Maplestory.
We’ve been waiting on news regarding its Western release for a while now and are ecstatic to know we’re finally going to be able to play it in English.

At EVE Fanfest 2018, Hilmar Veigar Petursson, the CEO of CCP Games revealed that Nova, an FPS set in the world of EVE Online, will be playable this year.
Nova will focus on core FPS gameplay but in an EVE Online setting, rather than being directly connected to the core EVE Online game.
CCP has hopes that the game is capable of standing on its own two feet before they attempt to slowly integrate it into EVE – through social integration, then later through economical, then further gameplay links.

It’s that time of the year again – and what better way to celebrate than jumping right into the cockpit of your tank and blowing shit up, amirite?
World of Tanks is celebrating its anniversary this year by honoring the International Day of Human Space Flight, also knows as Yuri’s Night.
It’s always fun to see MMORPGs standing the test of time year after year, and World of Tanks is definitely one of the more unique ones out there.

Lord of the Rings Online is yet another MMORPG that is gaining a level up this year – celebrating its 11th year online.
Players will be able to log in, search for treasure, and nab yourself a nice unique little gift.
Alternatively, if you’re not into partaking of the festivities then logging in will allow you to claim an 11-year giftbox instead.

My.com have finally released some information about their upcoming expansion in the form of their new Grovewalker class.
The Grovewalker is supposedly My.com’s response to growing need of both a new tank and support class.
Their goal is that the Grovewalker will be more interesting to play than either the Paladin or the Knight.

With the success of Rift’s new Prime servers, Trion have announced renewed hope and enthusiasm with regards to additional content and bugfixes.
The Rift team is hard at work with some lingering balance changes (moreso towards Warriors, Void Knights, and Paladin’s), with both the Mage and Rogue receiving a small tweaking as well.
Both the Prime and standard servers will be receiving content updates, PvP changes, and guild creation tweaks.
Here’s hoping that this new spark of renewed player interest doesn’t dim too soon.

Tree of Savior is looking to add some additional PvP features into the game – specifically, a Guild Territory Wars function.
Players – or more aptly, guilds, will be able to participate in large skirmishes in an attempt to secure territory in selected areas.
Since this is a completely new feature, imcGames, the team behind Tree of Savior, wants to make certain it doesn’t break the game, therefore they will be undergoing beta tests from April 17 to April 24.
This beta test will – once again – merely be to make certain the game doesn’t implode before launching it onto the live servers.

With TERA’s new Godsfall update, the dev team are introducing new “Apex” skills to 7 specific classes: the Berserker, Brawler, Lancer, Warrior, Mystic, Priest, and Slayer.
The remaining classes will gain access to Apex skills in a later content update.
The Godsfall update hits the live servers today, April 17!

The new upcoming “Community Crafted” MMO – Worlds Adrift, is launching onto Steam Early Access on May 17th.
The game has been in development for four years now, and according to official statistics, has had “21,271,022 bullets fired, and no less than 671,086 mantas killed.”
Early Access will be available through founders packs directly on the Worlds Adrift website.
