The Day Before is a Brand New Upcoming Open-World Survival MMO

I love survival games. I love survival games set within a large open-world. I love when I get to play through open-world survival games that allow me to smash the heads of thousands of zombies, and – well, you guys should know how much I love MMOs. I dedicated this entire channel and website to the genre after all.

The Day Before is a brand new upcoming open-world survival MMO set in a post-pandemic America. The country has been ravished by not only zombies, but also by other survivors fighting for the remnants of what remains of the world. Food, weapons, medication.

As this is a survival game, you’ll be set loose in a large world filled with buildings to explore, vehicles to loot, players to combat – among other things. You’ll be forced to seek out shelter, food and items in an attempt to survive, all while working with other players to find out what happened to the world and our place within it.

Admittedly not a lot of the game has been shown thus far, but we’ve gotten 100% in-game footage nevertheless which is definitely a promising start. The MMO reminds me of a cross between Remnant: From the Ashes and Left 4 Dead, two incredibly different, but very entertaining multiplayer games. While we’re also not sure of exactly how “MMO-esque” the game will ultimately end up being, it’s exciting to see something like this being developed.
