Planet Calypso, or Entropia Universe as it is alternatively known as, is an MMORPG set in a virtual universe – attempting to mimic reality in a scifi setting. See, the game utilizes a very unique micropayment system that allows players to trade real money for in-game items, and exchange in-game items and money for real money at an exchange of 10 PED : 1 USD. This means that players are more than capable of playing the game with the objective of making real money.

Planet Calypso Review - Is It Worth Playing?

Planet Calypso Information

Planet Calypso, or Entropia Universe is a 3D scifi free to play MMORPG.

Planet Calypso has a very in-depth character creator, and upon successful creation of your avatar, you are given the option of multiple planets to choose to begin your adventure. Like most MMORPGs, you are given the ability to explore, socialize, hunt monsters, craft unique gear, mine various nodes, harvest differing resources, and more.

As we mentioned, it is possible to make real life money in-game. By trading in-game virtual objects, and redeeming money at a ration to 10 PED to 1 USD, you can even go so far as to make an actual living out of the game. Jon Jacobs, back in November 2010, sold a virtual resort for $5,000 USD.

Planet Calypso is one of the best looking scifi MMORPG on the market right now. It is evident that the team behind the game paid a significant amount of attention to detail when crafting the game-world.

There are no races other than Human, and no classes in-game.
