NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 Confirmed for April 2021 Release

I’ve been an avid fan of the NieR series for years now. I’ve played each of the NieR games (with the exception of the Japanese exclusive “Replicant,” and the upcoming Re[in]carnation mobile games,) and have played Drakengard 1, 2 and 3. Yes, I’m really that dedicated to this franchise. So when I’d heard they’re actually overhauling one of the games that I’d not had the opportunity to play, to say I was ecstatic would be a gross understatement.

The overhaul in question, titled “NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139” is going to take the original incarnation of the game and completely overhaul it, its graphics, its combat, and introduce it to an audience that never had the pleasure of playing it. We’ll finally, after a decade of waiting, get to play through the prequel to the incredibly popular hit “NieR Automata,” a game I played through a multitude of times to get every ending of the game I could.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is scheduled to come out on PS4 and Xbox One in Japan and Asia on April 22nd, 2021, and in North America and Europe on PS4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam) on April 23rd 2021.

I’m excited to finally play through this masterpiece. April cannot come soon enough!
