King’s Raid is Having a Bad Year

King’s Raid is a fun game. It has some stunning character models, great graphics, solid combat and an engaging narrative. Yet all of this combined aren’t enough to save the game from falling into obscurity.

According to news in Korea, Vespa, the developer of King’s Raid had to suspend trading of its stock after it saw a drop in total sales in 2021 compared to 2020 by a whopping 36.5%, and an enormous 75% drop in operating profit. 

Vespa went on to note that the less than stellar earnings were a direct result of increasing fixed costs and decrease in sales for King’s Raid, where they make the majority of the revenue. 

Vespa have other games in development in an attempt to supplement the loss of income from King’s Raid but I wouldn’t expect this game to be around for too much longer at this rate.
