First Time Beginner Friendly MapleStory Classes In 2017

My name’s Stix and today I wanna go over a few classes in MapleStory that I believe you should be focusing on leveling as new players.
These are by no means the “best Maplestory classes in 2017“, nor are they the “strongest Maplestory classes in 2017“, but I do believe they’re classes that are easy for new players to begin with to get into the game and experience it for the first time while not worrying too much about gear and potions, while simultaneously being good enough classes to start with due to ease and also the benefit you receive from some of their buffs.

Now, without further adieu, let’s get right into this, shall we?

Let’s start off with a personal favorite of mine: Demon Avenger.

Demon Avenger.)

I don’t have this listed because I main a Demon Avenger I swear.
..
Okay, maybe I have this listed because I main a Demon Avenger. That’s not the only reason though.
Demon Avenger a very straightforward class: It’s a Resistance type Warrior class that focuses primarily on HP as a main stat, having the highest overall HP in the game.
Instead of using mana, Demon Avenger’s use their own HP to fight, simultaneously being able to dish out great damage and sustain themselves through self heals.
At endgame, Demon Slayer is the more popular choice as it is generally better overall, however, prior to endgame, especially without funding, Demon Avenger is a solid choice for a first timer.
Please be aware though that if you don’t pay attention, you will likely end up killing yourself.. which I am guilty of having done in the past. It wasn’t pretty. It still happens too. Fuck I’m a srcub.

Kanna.)

Kanna is a Sengoku type Magician class that focuses primarily on Intelligence as a main stat, whilst being incredibly squishy. Still, Kanna has the highest HP amongst all magician type classes.
Kanna, like the Demon Avenger, doesn’t use mana, instead using Spiritual Power. This means you don’t have to fork out cash for mana potions! Yay, cost-cutting at its finest!
Kanna is one of the better grinders in the game, having attacks that literally hit the entire screen, and a skill that increases the spawn rate of monsters, providing ridiculous mobbing potential.
Her drawback however is much lower damage which can make soloing for her a lot more difficult without a group.
Just a quick note, though, Kanna is classified as a support class and in very high demand due to her buffs.

Mercedes.)

Okay, okay, so maybe not one of the easiest, let alone best classes in the game, but nevertheless it’s worth noting for any new players out there that getting a Mercedes to level 70 unlocks a special passive skill that provides players with increased XP, scaling up to level 120, that also happens to be account-wide.
Meaning all future characters receive a passive +10% increase in XP from all sources while leveling.
This skill is fantastic for leveling her, alts, and anything else you want!

Cygnus Knights.)

The Cygnus Knights are another class you should focus on leveling, being that they receive a passive account-wide buff called Empress’ Blessing, providing a damage increase for all characters on your account.
Although the Empress’ Blessing buff isn’t the only reason you should be leveling them, it will likely be the main reason in the end.
The buff is just too good to pass up and you should definitely focus on getting one up if even just for that buff!

Bishop.)

So the Bishop is an Adventurer type Magician class that focuses more on support as opposed to offence.
Bishop’s are in high demand due to their powerful support skills such as healing allies, dispelling negative spell effects, and buffing party stats.
This can make doing raids, taking on bosses, or even just leveling so much easier.
I would like to point out though that as this is a support class, the Bishop deals very low damage. It deals some of the lowest damage of any class, but if you can get around that it is one of the most useful classes in the game!

Well there you have it!
This goal of this video was never to be a full on guide on the “best Maplestory classes”, it is more.. informational.
To new players.
Hopefully something new players can watch or read through, depending on whether you’re watching the video or reading the article.

It’s not a largely detailed guide. It’s not supposed to be. It’s just supposed to be a little helpful guide to anyone that needs a helping hand on what they should be leveling for the first time.
Classes they need to make sure they level.
Classes that are easiest to level and play for a good first experience. Since you know first impressions are everything!

Also, quick question: Which classes do YOU find to be the easiest or most useful?

Regardless, hopefully you guys enjoyed the short guide! If you want more guides like this in the future, or more detailed guides on Maplestory – let me know in the comments section!
