Dual Universe is a Brand New Upcoming Sandbox MMORPG Coming August 27th, 2020

Dual Universe is an upcoming MMORPG that a lot of people are talking about right now. Partly because it was just revealed that the game is going to be launching on August 27th, and partly because the game genuinely looks like a solid title that if done correctly, might actually impact the genre in a positive manner.

Dual Universe is a Scifi MMO that is going to allow for millions of players to play together in a large, open, sandbox universe. I opted out of saying world because this is set in space after all, and honestly, since you can visit, colonize and build on entire planets, I’m unsure of specifically how large the individual planets are going to end up being.
Surprisingly, Dual Universe is going to launch as a pay-to-play subscription based MMORPG, meaning that it’s going to require you pay a monthly fee to log in and play the game. This is an interesting direction to take the game as there are little to no remaining subscription-based MMOs left alive on the market other than Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft. However, if you’re looking to get into the game ahead of its launch, you can navigate on over to the official website and purchase an Alpha Pack that allows you Alpha access to the game ahead of the August 27th Beta. This is a limited time purchase as it’ll only be available for a short while longer. After the Beta launches, the NDA on the game will finally be lifted, allowing Alpha testers and other content creators to begin releasing information regarding the game, which is expected to launch some time during 2021.
