Today I’m going to be talkin’ about an AMMORPG on it’s way to the west! That game is Kritika Online!
Kritika Online was originally released in Korea by developer ALL-M in August 2014 and, as of February 24, En Masse Entertainment, the very same people behind TERA, announced that they will finally be bringing Kritika Online to North America and Europe.
So what is Kritika Online? Well it’s an Action MMORPG, with cell shaded graphics which if you don’t know what that is.. think Zelda: The Wind Waker in an anime, BOOM, cell shaded graphics.
Kritika also features flashy fast paced combat, allowing you to chain skills and unleash devistating attacks upon your foes. Nothing “new” to the genre but still quite enjoyable.
Kritika has the normal classes found it most MMO’s these days however, upon reaching level 15, you’re given the choice between 3 new advanced classes, allowing for more variety.
There are so many Action MMO’s out there that just do the same thing, over and over again, adding a new and unique spin onto classes is refreshing.
I will point out, like most action MMO’s, the classes are gender locked, however there is some character customization, which is nice to see. Granted it’s nothing like Aion, or BDO, it’s still nice being able to edit your character.
While it is fun to play, having personally played it, I will say it can get repettitive, as the instances you fight in are quite small in scale, at least early on in the game.
While this doesn’t make Kritika a bad game, it is a draw back.. in my opinion. Running 2-3 minute long dungeons where you can 2 shot the monsters isn’t exactly what I’d call entertaining, but as I mentioned it’s early gameplay, so keep that in mind.
Graphically speaking Kritika is nothing fancy, but I do personally find it pleasing to the eye, the combat animations are great and fluid and the character models are very.. detailed to say the least..
En Masse Entertainment stated that Kritika will be released within the year!
So if you’re look for an action MMORPG, with colorful cell shaded graphics, fun combat, and gorgeous characters then Kritika’s the game for you!
