Spellgear – A Recently Released Action MMORPG That Is Just.. Not Very Good.

So we fully thought that Spellgear would be a pretty fun MMORPG. From what we read it’s an “Open world PvP Action MMORPG” but the action combat itself is incredibly poorly handled. When your attacks aren’t missing you’re struggling to maintain your resource management, and when you aren’t deciding whether you want to waste your energy on attacking or dodging, you’re likely jogging to each area because you can’t run, dodge, and attack. You have to choose one, exclusively! All three drain your energy and your energy regeneration is very, very slow.

So what did we think of Spellgear? The graphics aren’t bad. From what we saw of PvP we weren’t really impressed. The combat is clunky and the latency is killer. And finally the world map is pretty small.. So, all in all, not a very good experience.
