EVE Online – The Most Complex MMORPG!

So today, after many requests, Wiggy and I decided to try out EVE Online! Generally considered one of the more difficult MMORPGs on the market – and it shows. The learning curve seems very steep, which could be an issue with how stupid we are and how used to easy MMORPGs we are but even though it was a little frustrating at times – it was still a refreshing change.

It’s definitely going to take more than a single run to get the hang of EVE Online, but if you guys enjoy watching – let us know and we’ll go back.

Just wait until you feel the rush of good PVP. You’ll never look back 😉

Yes its supposed to be this hard.
The difficulty is what gives the depth of content.
If you think this is hard you shouldve played it basically anytime in the past (its only gotten easier)
Friends help. (and youll find no shortage of eager friends wanting to help / AND HARM you here)
The avatar generation wizard is literally like 5 years old , not even a part of gameplay and still a better 3D engine than a lot of terrible FPS stuff out these days.
The chat channels are useful / should be used / are part of the gameplay (and EVE is very unique in that THAT is intentional / not a side effect)

As an old EvE player i found the video enjoyable. I remember the good ol´ days when i didnt understand anything either.
But even with the new tutorial its still hard to properly learn the game without help from other players.
Thankfully eve is a very good community in that regard. Most players will blow your ship up and steal your milk money
but after that if you dont get to salty most eve players will also take the time to teach you how they did it and how you can do it too.
EVE is truly MMO and by that i mean that socializing and connecting with other players is almost mandatory for you to achieve anything
in this game. Its not like WoW where its single player with slight multiplayer elements, you have to engage other players both socially and with your
guns to get anywhere in this game.

But if you plan on trying it out again i suggest joining a newbee corp like EVE university or Pandemic Horde or you can hit me up (Weljin in game) and
i could give you a proper introduction to the best of my ability.

I’ve played EVE for over 2 years now. EVE is about PvP and the area of the map called Nullsec. Basically it is like the Middle East meets the Wild West with spaceships. Little — and big de-facto countries called Coalitions wage war, one up eachother, do science and build.

What makes EVE are the other players. You adapt to the complexity. A few hours doesn’t do the game justice. Getting invested in a way like making a better ship/better gun. Everything in the game is player-made. The starbases in most nullsec space, the citadels, the giant ships that shoot giant lasers to the small frigates zooming by.
