by WigglsbyGreetings and salutations my lovely little Bytelings my name is Wiggy today about the MOBA type MMORPG that resonantly entered early access on steam 5 days ago called Hyper Universe.
Now generally I don’t really cover MOBA releases or information but I figured since you guys liked our MxM video and Gigantic video, both being MOBA’s you might be interested in this. So let’s go over what Hyper Universe actually is then shall we? To start off it’s a side scroller MOBA with some the game functions similarly to normal MOBA styled game with some slight differences and of course a different graphical style.
So as I mentioned it’s a side scroller, and as such you move along a straight path way, either left or right. However there are still 3 lanes in which you
guard from the enemy players and monsters trying to reach your base. These lanes are found about you and beneath you. So there will be ladders and jumping pads
scattered around allowing you to reach the other lanes, so you can more easily defend. Now it’s definitely a new idea for a MOBA, whether or not a good idea
will remain to be seen when it’s been out for longer. As of right now people seem to enjoy it, as there’s a good amount of characters to choose, fancy visuals
fast and smooth combat and as of yet a non toxic MOBA community! Generally the only complains I’ve seen regarding this MMORPG so far at least, is that
at times as it’s a side scroller it can be difficult to see yourself in a hoard of enemy’s, some latency issues for some players and a lack of map variety.
Granted this is early access so, I mean that part is to be expected.. it’s not released yet.
So generally if you’re a MOBA player, and you’re feeling burned out of whatever MOBA you’re playing or you just think this game looks good, you should definitely
try it out. If you’ve got 15$ to spare of course.
