Netmarble Announce The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin - a Competitor to Genshin Impact

In a world completely dominated by Genshin Impact.. and games that look and feel like cheaper versions of Genshin Impact, comes the latest installment in a genre of gaming that has since come to be known as.. “The Genshin Clones,” The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.
A gorgeous, action-packed, open-world, potentially multiplayer co-operative, Shounen Anime game set to take the Genshin formula.. to the next level.

I’m gonna be honest… I genuinely did NOT expect to see a game that looked that good. Did you? Don’t lie. You didn’t. I can tell.

So just what IS The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin? In a live broadcast made on the 27th, Netmarble revealed the trailer for the upcoming game with some information that has the internet abuzz. First and foremost: This is not a mobile game.
Rather, this is a game being built separately for every individual gaming platform: PC, console and mobile devices. They took note of what miHoYo did with Genshin Impact and have decided that is the optimal route to take.
Which means we’re going to potentially receive what could arguably be the best incarnation of the game on each platform.
This is not, and I repeat, NOT, your typical cheap mobile garbage. As should be evident by what we just witnessed.

This game is being developed as a completely separate story to the Anime and Manga source material. Yes, the game is set on the continent of Britannia, and yes, you’ll get to see, get to recruit all of the Seven Deadly Sins.
And likely a significantly larger selection of characters as well – this is after all the way they’ll go about making a return on their investment, and continue to fund development moving into the future.
The game is going to be completely open-world, meaning you possess the freedom to explore without limitation. Towns, cities. Monster camps, dungeons. As long as you can see it, you can reach it.
And as we saw from the trailer with Diane, it seems as though characters possess unique abilities that aid in exploration.
They noted that you’ll be capable of “climbing, flying, using abilities to build bridges” even diving underwater, providing an additional layer of exploration.

There has yet to be any form of multiplayer confirmed currently, but given the type of game this is, I would speculate a form of co-operative play is going to be present. There is absolutely no way for this to compete with Genshin Impact if it lacks a feature so basic.
How else will I get to show off all the characters I have?

We also don’t currently have a release date set for either its region of origin, or a Global iteration of the game. Given what we’ve seen – the game must be pretty far along already. But it’s still in development, and subject to repeated delays, so expecting 2022 might be a little… generous.
Nevertheless, we can still look forward to and hope for it.

The Seven Deadly Genshins: Breath of the Fantasy looks like it is going to be an incredibly gorgeous game with a lot of potential. Let’s hope they don’t screw it up (like Tower of Fantasy.)

Now if you’re interested in my thoughts on another game I think has genuine potential.. go ahead and click this video right here. Who knows, you might enjoy it.
