by WigglsbyGreetings and salutations my lovely little Bytelings, my name is Wiggy, and I’ll be talking about “Legend Of The Ancient Sword Online” whew, that’s one hell of a name!
By now you’ve probably already guessed that it’s an Asian made MMORPG. In fact it’s a Chinese, why make the distinction? Well, firstly to be correct, secondly, is the fact that Korean made MMO’s
tend to have gender locked classes. Where as Japanese or Chinese made MMORPGs don’t really seem to have this problem. Case and point Moonlight Blade which is Chinese, has no gender locks.
PSO2 Japanese made, without gender locks. TERA, Vindictus, and Black Desert all have gender locks and they’re all Korean. So it’s safe to say, if it’s a Korean made MMORPG there will
be gender locks.
Back to Legend Of The Ancient Sword, like most other Chinese MMORPG is Wuxia themed, but it’s also fantasy, there will be monsters to fight, the scenery while still being very Asian inspired, still
has a fantasy feel to it. While we’re talking about graphics, Legend Of The Ancient Sword has fantastic visuals, and that goes for the character models as well! So now onto one of the big questions
Action combat, or tab target. You’ll be happy to know that it does have action combat, however, while it does have action combat as I just stated, I do believe it also has the option for targeted combat,
to what extant I can’t say for certain.
There are 6 classes in total, while I don’t actually know then names of said classes, as it’s not exactly translated in English. However, what I do know is that
each class has two “roles” set to them, For instance, the scythe user is both a support, and DPS class. Where as the greatsword wielder is Tank, DPS. Non of these classes are gender
locked, so you can freely play whichever one you actually like. The character creation while it has sliders to use, which allows you to edit your character face extensively, it is still
quite limiting. As you cannot change your hair colors, nor can you change your skin color.
Onto the world, Legend Of The Ancient Sword isn’t an open world MMORPG, its regions are more like FFXIV. Although, from what I’ve seen there smaller in size. However they do make up for there
size in how very detailed the regions are.
So Legend of the Ancient Sword Online is in its 3rd CBT, without any region locks, so if this looks like something you’re interested in, you can try your luck in the CBT!
